  • Participate in class.
  • Get to know your lecturers.
  • Form study groups with friends.
  • Stay up to date with your work.
  • Be receptive to change.
  • Work hard every semester.

LEARNING STYLES & CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS

      Learning has 3 kind of styles. Audio, visual and kinesthetic. First, an auditory learner depends on hearing and speaking as a main way of learning. They able to hear and understand the information that is sent to them just by using their listening skills. An auditory learner can be known as someone that like to talk, like listening to lecturers, enjoy music, extroverted and cannot concentrate when noisy.

     Second is visual learning. Learner utilizes graphs, charts, maps and diagrams. Visual learner usually well organized, plan ahead, not really talkative, give a full an attention to details and have good handwriting.

     Third, kinesthetic learning. Kinesthetic is learning by physical activities. Learner require whole-body movement to process new. Example, dance, sport and gymnastics. their memories associated with emotions learning. They move around a lot, prefer not to sit still, do not prefer reading, do not spell well and like to touch objects.

       Characterristics of successful students are accept responsibility for them to outcomes and experience. They also are self-motivated by discovering personally meaningful goals and dreams. They also are interdependent by build mutually supportive relationships that help you achieve their goals and dreams while helping others do the same. the most important is, be yourself.


ACTIVITY 1
After answering all of the question in learning styles inventory, I got to know my learning style because one of it gets the highest score. Mine is visual. Visual learner need to see information. Learners have strong visualization skills and can remember objects, shapes and pictures. We learn by reading and by watching films, video, demonstration and we can see pictures in our minds.
